End to Iceberg on Wheels

When the bitter winds knock the temperature down below zero, I don’t like slipping into an ice cold car. I go down to the parking lot (I live on the third floor) and start the engine ten to fifteen minutes before having to drive off. Things don’t always work out as I plan, and occasionally I run out of time and have to sit on an ice cold seat.

I have recently found a quick, convenient, and comforting solution to this problem. No, it isn’t purchasing a new car with a gismo that starts it for me. That would be great, but I want to keep this car for as long as I can before having to dole out a lot of money for a new one. This new idea is a whole lot cheaper. A friend of mine gave me a Maine Warmers’ Black Bear around Christmas time, and now there is no more shock transitioning between home and car.

I had been using the Warmer while relaxing in my recliner, reading a good book, watching a movie, or using the laptop. A couple of weeks ago when I had to go out in the bitter cold again, I asked myself, “Why not heat up the Maine Warmers Bear and take it with me?” I tucked it right in between my back and the car seat. It worked like a charm. I found that the warmth in the small of my back helped keep my muscles flexible and eliminated that stiffness I usually felt when turning and stepping up out of the car. The Bear held the heat well past the time it took for the car to become toasty warm. No more feeling like an iceberg on wheels!

Maine Warmers carries a variety of microwave heat packs that can be used to warm a car seat or bed. Aside from the Black Bear they offer Moose, Sheep, Panda Bears, and other comforting creatures.
